New Case Blog ALERT!!!!

I plan on working on a new blog post this week in regards to the mysterious death of Missy Bevers. If you have not looked into this case I highly suggest you watch Still a Mystery or just google her case. It is intriguing to me on many levels. The video footage shows what appears to be a woman walking around the crime scene hours before Missy's murder however now I believe it could be a man with a very distinct walk. I will delve into it more this week and follow up with resources, videos, and links to pages to help resolve this case.

Don't forget to subscribe to my blog and please share with your friends! :) Thanks!

NAMUS--National Missing and Unidentified Missing Persons System

If you are a true crime lover and purveyor like me you are probably aware of NAMUS as many of the popular true crime blogs and podcasts use NAMUS for case research however did you know you can have a free account so YOU can be a helper in finding and possibly identifying people? Giving a name to an unidentified person is HUGE. It is a great sense of accomplishment and it feels wonderful to have a family reunited with someone that may have been lost to time and circumstances.

One of the biggest unknowns lately has been the hiker found in Florida known as "Mostly Harmless" or "Denim" as a trail name. He was found deceased in his sleeping bag in his tent. It is an intriguing case for sure and his identity is unknown as of this writing. I will include below links to FB pages and the sheriff's office so you can peruse and see if you could be the key to unlocking his identity. :)

Book work

I have committed to writing for at least one hour 3 days a week until my sister's book is completed. It may not seem like much however with homeschooling 3 kids, a large, busy farm, my health journey and travel it is all I can commit right now. I plan to write on this blog a few times a week to keep me accountable as well as provide true crime case information on some cases I have found interesting in my studies. If you have suggestions for the blog, or my book, please reach out! A few of you have already reached out and I am very thankful for your input.

Have a great week!

Book title, musings, and the start of the novel for Mary Frances....

I will be writing on my blog more often from now on as I am in the midst of writing my sister's story. The true story. Not the watered down, inaccurate information portrayed in other mediums but REAL FACTUAL truth. The substance of my writing is coming from memory, news articles, letters from people after my sister's death, interviews with those close to the murder and investigation, and much more. I am investing myself all in for the next year or two, however long it takes to get the information from my mind and other resources into a book format. This is my first time writing a book so please be patient. I have lots of good information and resources already however if you are reading this and would like to be interviewed for the book, please reach out via my blog or other social media platforms.

This book will delve into her short life, her family, her senseless murder, the 3 trials for her murderer, the eventual execution of her murderer, death row in general, death row in Ga, and much more.

In the meantime if you would like for me to cover a case on my blog, please reach out and let me know. If you know of someone that is missing and you would like for me to cover their case or help to spread the information, please let me know! I look forward to hearing from you all.

Also, please SHARE, SHARE, SHARE this blog! :) Thanks!

Delphi Murders--my thoughts....

Today I listened to True Crime Garage (great podcast by the way so give them a listen) and was intrigued by the opinions shared. I respectfully disagree with some of their opinions however I thought I would share my thoughts here and see what you all may think.

First, my thoughts and prayers are with Libby (Liberty) and Abigail's families. I hope that their killer is prosecuted and they find some peace as I know closure will never occur.

I will delve right in to some thoughts I had on the case as discussed today.

The reason I believe that the case has not been solved is multifaceted.
I believe the perpetrator is in jail already on a previous unrelated charge such as a sexual assault on a female earlier and he was caught soon after the murders in violation of his parole/probation due to failure to register, reoffending, etc. I believe the person that was mentioned as being the brother of an inmate currently incarcerated could be the killer of the girls and is very possibly the suspect they have been looking for however I believe if he were due to his already being in the CJ system they would have his DNA and fingerprints already so why have they not said something, released more information, stated he is the suspect or not, etc.
My thoughts? They did not collect evidence as well as they should have at the crime scene or off of the victims and now they are scrambling to find a way to find a connection between the case and him. Or he could be connected to someone in the investigating office.
Another red flag for me was not releasing how they were murdered, if they were sexually assaulted, etc. Typically this is not kept from the public unless they know more than they want to divulge or they are hiding something that would harm the department. I know, a lot of accusations however where is the falsity in any of it?
Also, they did not release the whole video or audio recording however they did allow the family to view and hear it stating it was irrelevant. Okay, it may be but unless it is violent or highly offensive why not release it as someone could notice a mannerism of someone they know and call it in.
The idea that there is a person that helped the offender is a good one however not one I believe. I believe the killer was on a work release/half way house when this occurred and was off that day to do what he pleased hence why no one reported anything suspicious.
Also, it has been said that certain factors that indicate a specific MO or trademark were noted, up to 3, however they have not released that information. Like with other notorious cases releasing that information can help to identify someone based off of mannerisms, actions, etc. No matter how much we try to change ourselves the true us always shines through. Like with BTK, Ted Bunny, the hillside strangler, etc. They all committed crimes over and over with the same basic MO attached that were easily traced back to them. It is akin to if it works why fix it? If a MO works why change it?
I believe the killer was at a memorial or funeral for the girls and if they look back over photos, videos, etc they will find someone that is out of place. Also, it appears that at a press conference the police stated that someone in there could be responsible for the murders and even gave the appearance that they were looking in a general direction of someone in the room however nothing more was said or alluded to after that conference to my knowledge.
There are typically 3 responses when something occurs unexpectedly to you: flight, fight or freeze. I am stealing my husband's thoughts on this one. He said he thinks they froze when he approached them instead of fighting or fleeing. So many of us would do the same. These young girls were taken viciously due to being out on a walk alone when a monster decided to show his true colors.
I pray he is found and is given a death sentence.

Missing veteran Trevor Nichols

Many of you may not know this but I run almost daily and have for years and until recently I did not listen to my phone at all. No music. No podcasts. No audio books. BUT that has changed I now listen Crime Junkie, Unfound, and a few other podcasts and I love them. They make the miles fly by.

This week on Unfound, Ed Dentzel, covered the case of missing veteran Trevor Nichols, and did he covered it quite well. I thought I would blog about it as it is fresh on my mind.

Please google Unfound podcast and look for Trevor Nichols. It is a must listen.

A few things I noticed and wanted to mention that may be of help to the family. It appears he may have boarded a train to Cleveland however it was mentioned his photo ID's were left behind but Ed brought up a great point that maybe he used an old, expired license so that made me think....what if he used his passport? Military members must have passports even when they go to war (I am a veteran myself). Just a possibility that he used that to board the train. Another thing that was mentioned, and rightfully so, is the silence felt from his "friend" Gabe suddenly after a brief time and this may be explained away due to the military telling him to keep quiet or something more sinister. Anyway, those are my thoughts. Give Ed and Unfound a follow and enjoy the captivating podcast that is Unfound.

If you have suggestion for blog posts, please message me. Thanks.
