Delphi Murders--my thoughts....

Today I listened to True Crime Garage (great podcast by the way so give them a listen) and was intrigued by the opinions shared. I respectfully disagree with some of their opinions however I thought I would share my thoughts here and see what you all may think.

First, my thoughts and prayers are with Libby (Liberty) and Abigail's families. I hope that their killer is prosecuted and they find some peace as I know closure will never occur.

I will delve right in to some thoughts I had on the case as discussed today.

The reason I believe that the case has not been solved is multifaceted.
I believe the perpetrator is in jail already on a previous unrelated charge such as a sexual assault on a female earlier and he was caught soon after the murders in violation of his parole/probation due to failure to register, reoffending, etc. I believe the person that was mentioned as being the brother of an inmate currently incarcerated could be the killer of the girls and is very possibly the suspect they have been looking for however I believe if he were due to his already being in the CJ system they would have his DNA and fingerprints already so why have they not said something, released more information, stated he is the suspect or not, etc.
My thoughts? They did not collect evidence as well as they should have at the crime scene or off of the victims and now they are scrambling to find a way to find a connection between the case and him. Or he could be connected to someone in the investigating office.
Another red flag for me was not releasing how they were murdered, if they were sexually assaulted, etc. Typically this is not kept from the public unless they know more than they want to divulge or they are hiding something that would harm the department. I know, a lot of accusations however where is the falsity in any of it?
Also, they did not release the whole video or audio recording however they did allow the family to view and hear it stating it was irrelevant. Okay, it may be but unless it is violent or highly offensive why not release it as someone could notice a mannerism of someone they know and call it in.
The idea that there is a person that helped the offender is a good one however not one I believe. I believe the killer was on a work release/half way house when this occurred and was off that day to do what he pleased hence why no one reported anything suspicious.
Also, it has been said that certain factors that indicate a specific MO or trademark were noted, up to 3, however they have not released that information. Like with other notorious cases releasing that information can help to identify someone based off of mannerisms, actions, etc. No matter how much we try to change ourselves the true us always shines through. Like with BTK, Ted Bunny, the hillside strangler, etc. They all committed crimes over and over with the same basic MO attached that were easily traced back to them. It is akin to if it works why fix it? If a MO works why change it?
I believe the killer was at a memorial or funeral for the girls and if they look back over photos, videos, etc they will find someone that is out of place. Also, it appears that at a press conference the police stated that someone in there could be responsible for the murders and even gave the appearance that they were looking in a general direction of someone in the room however nothing more was said or alluded to after that conference to my knowledge.
There are typically 3 responses when something occurs unexpectedly to you: flight, fight or freeze. I am stealing my husband's thoughts on this one. He said he thinks they froze when he approached them instead of fighting or fleeing. So many of us would do the same. These young girls were taken viciously due to being out on a walk alone when a monster decided to show his true colors.
I pray he is found and is given a death sentence.
